Injury/Exercise Rehabilitation

Injury and exercise rehabilitation protocols are commonly used after motor vehicle collisions, Worker's Compensation injuries, sports injuries or post-surgery and are an important part of recovery. These protocols often include specific strength and flexibility exercises to help rebuild strength and improve range of motion in an injured area of the body. Rehabilitation protocols may include: simple stretching techniques, postural reeducation, stability ball exercises, low-tech strength training (exercise tubing, isometrics), a home exercise program, weight lifting techniques, balance training or full gym workouts.

Benefits of rehabilitation include: increased muscle strength, reduced chance of re-injury, decreased healing time, delayed development of arthritis, increased flexibility, pain relief, and better overall body function. Rehabilitation of the injured areas of the body is key in preventing re-injury and returning to full pre-injury status.
